Athlete Dwain Chambers (born 5/4/1978, Islington) is one of the fastest sprinters in the history of European athletics. He was a world junior record holder in the 100m with 10.06 seconds and at the 1995 and 1997 European Junior Championships he won the 100m and 4 x 100m gold medals. At the 1998 European Championships he took silver in the 100m. At the 1999 and 2002 European Cup Chambers took gold again in the 100m.
